Irving, Richard R. – 4th Armored Division

Passed away on April 20, 2002 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA.


Captain Richard Irving served in HQ Company of Combat Command B of the 4th Armored Division. He  was later promoted to Major and transferred to the 25th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron. Was ROTC Commander at Yale in 1969. Retired as a Colonel. Married Mary Calderwood.

Combat Command B, 4th Armored Division was the armored command that moved from Fauvillers over Hotte, Burnon, to Chaumont where it was involved in the two major battles for the village.
